Bad Habit

My worst habit is getting myself into things I cannot handle.
I sign myself up for way to much, then stress myself out because it's impossible to do it all.
I'm currently in a predicament of the same sort, and its not good for me. I hope to change it by biding my time better and committing to things only AFTER I know I can handle them.

My Summer Plans

I have a lot going on this summer. In between Drivers Ed, getting money for camp, going to camp, and sleeping, I don't really plan on a lot of down time. Friends will be sure to keep me busy too.

Drugs? I think no.

So, rumor has it that Lewis Carrol was high on who knows what when he wrote Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass. Way to go dude, but that is NOT how the mass population would use these drugs.
I think that making drugs legal would increase the all around unpleantenss of big cities and may even effect little towns. You throw a motor vehicle or dangerous weapon in with the mix and you have a recipie for disaster. Death, sexual assult, and stupidity rates would rise exponentially, and I see this as a bad thing.

Someday...

And maybe someday
We'll figure all this out
Try to put an end to all our doubt
Try to find a way to make things better now and
Maybe someday we'll live our lives out loud
We'll be better off somehow
Someday...

This song performed by Rob Thomas has multiple meanings. I relate the song to high school students being pushed through their high school years. We don't really matter unless we make an impression, and we hope that when we get out of high school, that will change. We can be ourselves without being some outstanding student or talented athlete, and that's my point.

Weapons on a College Campus

I think that adding weapons to the jumble of bad things tending to occur on campus would just add to the issues. Party goers that have had too much to drink and get angry now become unpredictable and possibly dangerous with their concealed weapons. The campus security should be allowed weapons to protect not only themselves, but their school's students is the need were to arise.

Beslan

I think that what happened at Beslan was a perfect example of why the US is afraid of the terrorism issue we are currently facing. The government is afraid of some school here being in the place of Beslan. So am I.
The children who went to that school on that day were just like children going to school all over the world; innocent, with the intent to go to school then come home and kiss their parents hello. They wont ever be able to do so again, and the idea that that could someday be me frightens me.
